The RefWhistle app

RefWhistle is the referee app for officials, coaches and appointers. It runs in the browser at portal.refwhistle.app and installs to your home screen on iPhone and Android, so there is nothing to download from an app store and it keeps itself up to date.

Install the RefWhistle app on your phone

On iPhone, open portal.refwhistle.app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and choose Install app or Add to Home screen from the menu. RefWhistle then opens from its own icon like any other app.

There is no App Store or Google Play listing to search for. Because the app is served from the web, every update reaches every phone at once: nobody is coaching a final on last season's version.

The referee app for match officials

Most officials only open RefWhistle on their phone. They set availability and block-out dates, accept or decline offers, and see their appointments and crew for the weekend in one place, with reminders when something still needs an answer.

After the match they read their report, see each rating next to the moment that earned it, and can reply on the record. Appointers build the crews behind those offers with referee management software on the same record.

The live console for referee coaches

Coaches log the match with one thumb, eyes on the pitch. Each entry is stamped to the match clock, tagged to the official and rated on the spot, and it keeps working offline when the ground has no signal. At full time the log is already an After Action Report: see referee coaching software for how reports, reviews and season trends work.

When the match is streamed, every logged incident is a marker on the footage, covered by referee video analysis and streaming.
